PRODUCT
N°5, the true essence of femininity. A floral bouquet of aldehydes housed in an iconic bottle with a minimalist design. A timeless and legendary perfume.
Composition
The Eau de Parfum is inspired by the fragrance with which it shares its floral and aldehydic signature. Composed around May rose and jasmine, this floral greeting is complemented by citrus notes at the top. The aldehydes give a unique presence and the soft vanilla note leaves an infinitely sensual trail.
Inspiration
In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel asked Ernest Beaux to create "a rare and powerful women's perfume that smells like a woman." The perfumer proposed a visionary composition that required an unprecedented use of aldehydes. Mademoiselle tried version number 5 of the fragrance and decided to keep this number as a simple name. For this new product he chose a radical bottle, adorned with a white label and a faceted cap. In 1986, Jacques Polge, CHANEL perfumer since 1978, reinterpreted the olfactory structure of his predecessor and presented a more complete version of N°5: the Eau de Parfum.
The art of perfume
The eau de parfum spray should be applied gently and lightly on the skin or clothing. For refreshing fragrance notes throughout the day, the portable, refillable atomizer can be easily taken anywhere. A complete scented ritual for bath and body that refines the aroma of the fragrance.
